Bearsted Repair Cafe

A community repair café where volunteers help visitors fix electricals, clothing, bicycles, jewellery, computers and toys, with tea, coffee and cake.

Bearsted Repair Café, part of the Bearsted Climate Action Network, hosts a repair session at Madginford Hall where volunteers help visitors diagnose and fix broken items including electricals, computers, clothing and textiles, bicycles, jewellery and toys. Visitors are encouraged to bring their device charged with all leads, back up their data, and get involved in the repair rather than treat it as a free fix-it service. The event is described as sociable, with tea, coffee and cake available.
