Autumn writing workshop

A three-hour seasonal creative writing workshop inspired by Samhain, led by author Francesca Tyer at Fisherton Mill in Salisbury.

This in-person workshop uses the seasonal shift between light and dark, drawing on the ancient festival of Samhain, as inspiration for creative writing. Participants work indoors with natural objects and visual prompts, engaging the senses to write in a grounding, intuitive way. Over three hours, tutor Francesca Tyer supports writers of all levels — from complete beginners to experienced authors — with the aim of leaving with fresh ideas, heightened sensory awareness and renewed confidence in seasonal storytelling.
