About

A permanent-style museum exhibition bringing to life Broadway's coaching inn era from the late 1600s to 1850.

This exhibition at Broadway Museum explores the village's role as a key staging post on the coaching route between London and Wales, featuring its historic inns including the Lygon Arms, the Fish Inn, the Bell Inn and the Angel Inn. Set within 17th-century spaces, it covers life on the road, keeping coaches running and highwaymen at bay, and the speeds and discomforts of coach travel. The story concludes with the coming of Brunel's railway, which transformed travel in the area. The display is included with standard museum entry.
