Big “Spooky” Science – Monster Brains

A hands-on Halloween science workshop for children aged 5–11, experimenting with colour-changing monster brains reacting to acids and alkalis.

This hour-long children's workshop forms part of the garden centre's Big 'Spooky' Science sessions, with every child taking part in hands-on creepy experiments. The focus is chemistry: children test colour-changing monster brains to see how they react to acids and alkalis, with demonstrations and refreshments included. Everyone leaves with a tasty Halloween treat, and younger children may attend with an adult helper.
