THE ECHOING SCREAM: THE BIRTH OF EXPRESSIONISM
Price
Guests are welcome; the society appreciates a suggested £10 contribution per visit.
About
Gavin Plumley traces expressionism from Edvard Munch’s The Scream through its influence on visual art, music, literature, dance and film.
Beginning with Munch’s The Scream, the lecture places expressionism in its historical setting and follows its effects across art forms. It considers figures including Kandinsky, Klee, Schiele, Nietzsche, Freud and Schoenberg as subjects, rather than billed participants.
