Family Biofluorescent Night Walk

A family-friendly guided night walk at Bore Place using UV torches to reveal the glowing colours of fungi, moss, insects and other organisms.

Families explore biofluorescence on a guided evening walk, using UV torches and supplied safety glasses to see the fluorescent colours emitted by fungi, moss, insects and other animals. The walk proceeds at a slow pace, so sturdy boots and warm clothing are advised, and children must be accompanied throughout. Part of the People and Nature Together project, supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
