Autumn Fungi Walks

A guided woodland walk hunting for wild fungi with a member of the Leonardslee gardening team.

This seasonal guided walk explores the woodland gardens at Leonardslee in search of wild mushrooms. Led by a member of the gardens team, participants discover a variety of fungi and learn about their life cycles, ecological importance and role in the landscape. The walk lasts about an hour and a half, is suitable for children, and includes garden entry and a hot drink afterwards; sturdy boots are recommended as paths may be wet or slippery.
