About
An archive display about Liverpool artist Julia Carter Preston and her long association with the Bluecoat.
The display brings together photographs, documents and plaques connected with the Bluecoat Society of Arts. It forms part of the centenary programme for Liverpool ceramicist Julia Carter Preston (1926–2012), whose studio overlooked the Bluecoat garden. The exhibition describes her work and her role in reviving sgraffito decoration. It runs through 8 November 2026 and is free to enter.
