Opera Rara presents: Celebrating Tosti

A day of song, talk, lunch and a masterclass celebrating composer Paolo Tosti, presented by Opera Rara with alumni of the Tosti International Singing Academy.

Opera Rara's 2026/27 Salon Series continues with a full day devoted to Paolo Tosti (1846-1916), the Italian composer who became singing-master to the British royal family. The day opens with lunch at 1pm, followed by a 3pm masterclass, a 6:15pm pre-concert talk 'Lives in Song: Tosti' with music historian Flora Willson and a panel of Tosti scholars, and a 7:30pm Salon Concert. Alumni artists from the Tosti International Singing Academy perform songs by Tosti alongside works by contemporaries including Puccini, Fauré, Sullivan and Leoncavallo.
