Dig a Bit Deeper - Rochdale Town Hall's Hidden History Volunteer Showcase Exhibition

A year-long programme of free pop-up exhibitions at Rochdale Town Hall, curated by volunteers, revealing hidden stories from the building's history.

Throughout 2027, volunteers at Rochdale Town Hall curate a rolling series of pop-up exhibitions shedding light on lesser-known stories connected to the building. Themes change every three months, beginning with The Two Clock Towers and The Kelsall and Kemp Dynasty from January to March, followed by Workhouses and John Bright, then Dialect Writers And Poets and Suffrage, and finally Magna Carta and Virtual Rochdale. The exhibition is open to everyone, with no booking required — visitors can simply drop in during opening hours between 10am and 4pm.
