Rochdale on the Inside

A free daily exhibition of murals and art created by HMP Buckley Hall inmates, their families, community volunteers and artist Mary Naylor.

The exhibition displays murals and artworks created by inmates of HMP Buckley Hall and their families, alongside community and volunteer officers and artist Mary Naylor. Over several weeks the inmates worked together to build confidence through art and colour, producing playful, vibrant interpretations of the borough of Rochdale. Some murals will also be displayed at HMP Buckley Hall. The exhibition was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and is open to everyone, with no booking required.
