Weave Willow Stars for Christmas

A festive beginner-friendly willow weaving workshop where participants make and decorate their own willow stars.

This hands-on workshop at Portessie Public Hall teaches simple willow weaving techniques to create two different star designs for the festive season. Participants can personalise their stars with fairy lights, foliage, ribbons and dried seed heads, all provided, and may also try additional decorations such as woven trees or reindeer if time allows. No previous experience is needed; all willow, tools and materials are supplied, along with warm drinks. The session runs for two and a half hours.
