Abstract Sculpture Inspired by our Earth

A three-day abstract stone sculpture carving course led by artist Amanda Randall at Burngate Purbeck Stone Centre, running 10am–4pm each day.

This three-day course runs from 26 to 28 October 2026, from 10am to 4pm each day, and is tutored by sculptor Amanda Randall, whose abstract stone work is inspired by plants and fungi. Participants learn carving and sculpture techniques suitable for beginners through to more experienced makers, with tickets available for adults and for young people aged 16 and over accompanied by a participating adult. Discounted ticket rates are offered as part of Burngate's Arts Council England-supported 'Of Quarries and Stone' project devised with writer Sarah Acton.
