An Evening with Abhisri Chaudhuri

Virtuoso pianist and vocalist Abhisri Chaudhuri returns to Dundee's Caird Hall for a genre-fusing concert blending classical technique with jazz, pop, rock, folk and theatre.

Abhisri Chaudhuri, who performed on the Caird Hall stage as a student before pursuing her musical career in London, returns to Dundee for a personal, boundary-pushing concert. Her own arrangements fuse virtuosic classical piano with jazz, pop, rock, folk and theatre, pairing Debussy and Rachmaninov with Cabaret and Wicked, Paganini with jazz, and Michael Jackson with Kapustin. The programme also features songs by artists including Norah Jones, Nina Simone, Billy Joel, Eva Cassidy and Bill Withers.
