Repair Cafe Fairwater

A free volunteer-run repair cafe where residents bring broken items to be fixed while enjoying tea and coffee.

Volunteer repairers attempt to fix broken or damaged items brought in by the public, free of charge, while visitors wait with a cup of tea or coffee and can learn how repairs are done. Typical repairs include basic bicycle maintenance, electrical appliance repair, computing assistance, sewing, ornament repair and woodworking, though most items are considered except microwaves, which are deemed too dangerous. The session runs from 11am to 1pm, and additional volunteer fixers are welcome to come along.
