City Squares: Play and Build
About
A free half-term family session where children build big 3D structures with the colourful Happy Squares cardboard construction system at Barts North Wing.
RIBA Learning hosts a hands-on play building activity for families at the historic Barts North Wing during half term. Children use 'Happy Squares', a colourful cardboard building system of patterned pieces that slot together into large 3D structures and inhabitable spaces, then take them apart to rebuild anew. Builds can take inspiration from the hospital's historic architecture, the surrounding construction sites of central London, or the Great Hall's tall ceilings, with participants working together to create a mini city to play inside.
