Korngold's Violin Concerto in Edinburgh

The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under Delyana Lazarova performs Debussy, Korngold's Violin Concerto with Liya Petrova, and Rachmaninov's Third Symphony at the Usher Hall.

Delyana Lazarova conducts the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in a programme pairing Debussy's Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune with two works shaped by exile and nostalgia. Violinist Liya Petrova is the soloist in Korngold's Violin Concerto in D major, and the concert closes with Rachmaninov's Symphony No. 3 in A minor. The concert includes an interval and lasts roughly two hours.
