About
Somerset duo Ma Polaine’s Great Decline play a homecoming Penzance show of genre-straddling blues-tinged songs.
Beth Packer (vocals, double bass) and Clinton Hough (guitar) perform their original songs, described by reviewers as evoking Billie Holiday and Tom Waits. The duo have released five albums and five EPs since 2011, with the latest, Monster Swan, out in February 2026. Beth grew up in Cornwall, making this Penzance date something of a homecoming.
