Setting Up in Private Practice

A one-day workshop for counsellors and psychotherapists on the legal, business and mindset essentials of setting up a private practice.

Facilitated by UKCP-accredited psychotherapist Emma Pooley, this in-person workshop helps soon-to-qualify and qualified counsellors and psychotherapists prepare to launch a private practice. Sessions cover legal and ethical essentials such as GDPR, safeguarding, clinical wills and contracting; the business side including fees, record keeping and marketing; and mindset blocks around money and confidence. The day runs 10am to 4.30pm with refreshments provided and opportunities for questions.
