Attachment Lives in the Nervous System: Embodying Attachment Theory
About
A three-hour in-person CPD workshop for counsellors and psychotherapists exploring how attachment theory is embodied in the nervous system and the therapy room.
This experiential workshop, led by trauma specialist Leigh Smith, examines how attachment patterns, co-regulation, nervous-system safety cues, relational repair and therapeutic presence shape the therapeutic relationship. Through guided attachment reflection, participants practise recognising attachment dynamics and responding to relational distress. It is aimed at qualified counsellors and psychotherapists, plus trainees with a firm grounding in counselling practice, and counts as 3 hours of CPD.
