About

A free drop-in family workshop where children build a light-up wristband and design a Eurovision-inspired stage costume.

Part of the museum's Setting the Stage programme, this hands-on MakeSpace activity invites children to build a simple electronic circuit and make a light-up wristband to take home. Participants can examine colours, textures and patterns under microscopes to see how light interacts with different fabrics, then design a spectacular stage costume inspired by the Eurovision Song Contest. It is suitable for children aged 5 and over, with additional activities for younger visitors, and runs 10.00–16.00 on selected Saturdays.
