Environmental Science Club
About
A monthly hands-on science club for home-educated children aged 5-11, with experiments and discussion on a different theme each session.
This Environmental Science Club at Singleton Environment Centre offers home-educated families a chance to explore scientific theories through hands-on experiments and practical learning. Each hour-long session begins with an introduction to a new topic, followed by two practical experiments with discussion of findings, and closes by drawing conclusions, weaving in ideas like fair testing, hypothesis and data collection. Much of the session takes place outdoors in the centre grounds, so weather-appropriate clothing is advised. The November session's theme is Geology rocks; themes are subject to change and advance booking is essential.
