About

A guided one-hour walk around the Bethlem Royal Hospital grounds exploring the site's history since the hospital moved there in 1930.

Bethlem Gallery and the Museum of the Mind lead a walk around the grounds of the Bethlem Royal Hospital, asking 'What was here before?'. The walk covers the hospital's history from its 1930 move to the site, including questions such as whether Monks Orchard has any connection to monks and what architectural style the chapel was built in. The walk begins at 11am in the Bethlem Gallery, lasts approximately one hour, and strong footwear is advised as paths may be muddy.
