This practical outdoor workshop at the Farmstart demonstration plot in Metherell explores building resilience into growing spaces through green manures, improving soil health, water harvesting and preparing for the season ahead. Led by grower Jo Tytherleigh of Harewood Farm, it is aimed at people new to growing food or on an allotment waiting list. The session runs for four hours, with hot drinks provided and attendees asked to bring a packed lunch, stout shoes and waterproofs.
