From the Ground Up: Soil Workshops

An interactive afternoon of soil exploration at Yeoland with soil ecology professor Karl Ritz, including a guided land walk and small-group microscope workshops.

This family-friendly event begins with a one-hour interactive walk of the land at Yeoland, learning about its soil with Karl Ritz, a professor of Soil Ecology. This is followed by pre-bookable, donation-based soil lab workshops limited to four people per session, offering an immersive exploration into soil life through a microscope. Sessions run at 1.30–2.30pm (sold out), 2.45–3.45pm and 4–5pm, and visitors are advised to bring a torch as it will be getting dark.
