Behind the Secret Door: Birds & Botany

This hands-on library session explores John Gould’s birds and Weston’s historic botanical books, periodicals and natural-history volumes, from apples and hummingbirds to other creatures.

A volunteer-guided, interactive look through books collected by generations of the Bridgeman family. Participants can handle volumes; no prior knowledge is required. Morning and afternoon sessions are offered in the House Library. Use the Visitor Entrance at TF11 8LE and meet outside the Granary building ten minutes before the session; the guide will walk the group to the House.
