Royal Opera | Così fan Tutte

A cinema screening of The Royal Opera's contemporary new production of Mozart's comedy Così fan tutte.

The Royal Opera's production of Mozart's Così fan tutte is screened at Rheged. Directed by Netia Jones in her Main Stage debut, the opera updates the 1790 comedy of manners with a satirical, high-tech take on seduction and deception, as two young men test their girlfriends' fidelity on a bet. The young cast is led by Louise Alder, Simone McIntosh, Mingjie Lei and Huw Montague Rendall, with Gerald Finley as Don Alfonso and Emily Pogorelc as Despina, conducted by Thomas Hengelbrock. The screening runs approximately 3 hours 30 minutes.
