Remembering Humberside

A touring pop-up exhibition about the creation, contested legacy and cultural identity of the former county of Humberside.

The exhibition explores Humberside’s short and controversial existence, reactions to the county, and the identity some residents developed around it. Displays include material on festivals, songs, plays and the county’s shared cultural programme, alongside the longer history of communities on both banks of the Humber. The Centre lists the exhibition from 1 October to 3 November 2026. General Centre admission is free; opening hours may vary for seasonal events.
