This 90-minute guided tour takes visitors behind the scenes of the Edwardian Grade II* listed Sunderland Empire, revealing areas usually off-limits and sharing stories of stars who have performed there, from the young Beatles to Kate Bush, Laurel and Hardy and Gary Barlow. Guides share facts about the theatre's history and may include some spooky tales. The tour concludes with refreshments in the Dress Circle Bar; stage and backstage access is subject to availability and the tour involves a number of stairs.
