Visible Mending Evening Class

A beginner-friendly evening class learning decorative patching and sashiko stitching to visibly mend your own garments.

This beginner-friendly workshop teaches visible mending techniques, including decorative patching and sashiko stitching, to extend the life of favourite clothes. Participants bring their own garment in need of repair — such as jeans, a denim skirt or a woven-fabric shirt or jacket. All materials are provided, including fabric scraps, sashiko threads, needles and marking tools, along with light refreshments. The session runs for two and a half hours and is open to ages 12 and over.
