Christmas Carol Trains
About
A festive steam train journey from Swanage to Corfe Castle with carols, mulled wine and mince pies on three December evenings.
This festive evening experience runs on three December Thursdays, departing from Swanage station behind a heritage steam locomotive and travelling through the Purbeck countryside to Corfe Castle. On arrival, passengers are welcomed with a mince pie and mulled wine or a soft drink served from the railway's historic brake van, with the St Martin bell ringers from Wareham adding to the atmosphere and carols for passengers to join in with. Traditional bagpiper Freddie Sills welcomes the train into Corfe Castle and pipes its departure at the end of the evening. Each event runs from 19:00 to 21:00 and begins and ends at Swanage station.
