Pottery Throw Down

A beginner-friendly evening of pottery throwing demonstrations and hands-on practice at The Pavilion, raising funds for Age UK Sheffield.

Potters from The Northern Potters Association demonstrate how to throw a variety of pots, then participants take turns on eight wheels in small groups of three to four, with no experience required. Awards are given for the best, funniest and most bizarre pots, and the unfired clay is recycled afterwards. The three-hour evening includes a free welcome drink, buffet and licensed bar, plus a ceramics stall, with all ticket proceeds going to Age UK Sheffield.
