A Season of Bangla Drama: The Use of AI for Electronic and Print Media by London Bangla Press Club
About
A talk by the London Bangla Press Club exploring how AI can support print and electronic media journalists working with Bangladeshi media.
This 90-minute bilingual English/Bangla talk examines the role of artificial intelligence in journalism for newspapers, online news portals and television. It considers how AI can aid research, data collection and fact checking, analyse datasets and archives, monitor social media for breaking news, and support verification by detecting manipulated images and cross-checking statistics. For electronic media, it looks at real-time transcription, instant translation, live data updates and investigative analysis of financial records. The session is aimed at reporters, journalists, editors, producers and media professionals working with Bangladeshi media, and is part of A Season of Bangla Drama.
