BBC Philharmonic Orchestra: Gods Among Men
About
The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra under director and harpsichordist Johanna Soller performs baroque works by Zelenka, the Bachs and Heinichen.
Johanna Soller, Artistic Leader of the Netherlands Bach Society, makes her debut directing the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra in a programme of baroque music inspired by the celebrated orchestra of the Saxon court in Dresden. The programme pairs Zelenka's Sinfonia à 8, Heinichen's Concerto in F Major and Wilhelm Friedemann Bach's Sinfonia in D minor with two of Johann Sebastian Bach's Brandenburg Concertos, Nos 1 and 2. The concert is part of the RNCM's Inspirational Artists series and the BBC Philharmonic's Spring 2027 multibuy series.
