A free workshop at AK Bell Library teaching Japanese boro-inspired visible mending and zero-waste sewing techniques.
This workshop introduces boro, the Japanese tradition of repeatedly patching and mending cloth to extend its life, rooted in the philosophy of mottainai. Participants learn zero-waste sewing and how to visibly mend their own clothes. The session runs from 10am to 2pm and is suitable for adults aged 16 and over.
