Volunteering @ Woodside Orchard
About
A free volunteer day pruning fruit trees and coppicing at Woodside Orchard, meeting at Coalbrookdale Community Centre.
Severn Gorge Countryside Trust is holding a practical volunteering session at Woodside Orchard, carrying out winter fruit tree pruning and coppicing beside the orchard. The terrain is mostly flat with some gentle slopes, and volunteers can either meet on site or take the trust's minibus, which picks up at 9.45am from Coalbrookdale Community Centre. Tools, training, gloves and safety equipment are provided; participants should bring sturdy footwear, outdoor clothing, waterproofs and a packed lunch, with tea, coffee and biscuits supplied at the morning break. New volunteers who are not yet registered with the trust are asked to make contact before booking.
