About
A hands-on outdoor workshop learning traditional hedge laying at Stopsley Common as part of the Wilder Luton project.
The Wildlife Trust BCN's Wilder Luton project runs this practical day teaching the heritage craft of hedge laying. Participants help create a wildlife hedge at Stopsley Common while learning how the skill benefits wildlife and the local environment. The five-hour session takes place outdoors on an exposed site and involves physical work with sharp tools, so warm layered clothing is advised; it will only be cancelled in extreme weather.
