Séance and Augury: Translators on Translating
About
An evening of discussion about translated literature with translators Angus Allman and Grace Calk and publisher Jenny Caitlyn Lee of Translators' House Press.
Book Space Cardiff hosts a talk on translated literature featuring two translators and a co-founder of the new publisher Translators' House Press. Angus Allman discusses Presence, his translation of a short story by Italian writer Cesare Pavese, while Grace Calk talks about Sappho: A Translating, her experimental renderings of Sappho's surviving fragments from Ancient Greek. Copies of both books are available to buy or preorder, with discounts for preorders, and the event runs with doors at 18:15 for an 18:30 start.
