Autumn Wellbeing Workshop: Orbital

A wellbeing workshop at The Reader exploring Samantha Harvey's Booker Prize-winning novel Orbital through shared reading, poetry and a walk in Calderstones Park.

This afternoon wellbeing workshop centres on Orbital, Samantha Harvey's 2023 Booker Prize-winning novel about astronauts aboard the International Space Station. Participants take part in a relaxed Shared Reading session, discussing an extract from the novel alongside several accompanying poems, with no need to have read the book beforehand. The afternoon also includes a stroll through autumnal Calderstones Park and the chance to create a personal poetry collection. Unlimited tea and coffee is included, and the session runs for two and a half hours.
