Light up a Life

Phyllis Tuckwell's Light up a Life service of readings and carols at Guildford Cathedral remembers loved ones with a projected Christmas tree and dedications.

Light up a Life is a traditional remembrance event in the Phyllis Tuckwell calendar, inviting people to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones. The evening features a service of readings and carols at Guildford Cathedral, after which a Christmas tree image is projected onto the front of the building and its lights are switched on to represent those much loved and missed. Names of those with dedications made in their memory are also projected onto the Cathedral after the service, and dedications help fund the hospice's vital services.
