Stabat Mater by Pergolesi in Guildford

Mystery Ensemble with soprano and countertenor soloists performs Pergolesi's Stabat Mater in a one-night Guildford premiere at Guildford Cathedral.

Red Events presents a Guildford premiere of Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, performed by Mystery Ensemble with soprano Abigail Barker and countertenor Gleb Zakharov. The roughly 40-minute Baroque work is sung in authentic 18th-century Neapolitan church pitch, with additional baroque selections completing the hour-long evening. The staging is designed for the cathedral's acoustics, with subtle lighting shaping the space.
