Language Testing Forum 2026
About
The annual Language Testing Forum conference, hosted by Oxford University Press, explores methodological choices in language assessment research.
LTF 2026 is the latest edition of the UK's long-running annual conference on language testing and assessment, held since 1980 and, since 2016, the official conference of UKALTA, whose AGM features in the programme. The theme is 'Methodological Choices in Language Assessment: Traditions and New Directions', covering quantitative and qualitative research methods, validity evidence, rater behaviour, digital and process-oriented methodologies, classroom assessment, washback, accessibility and ethics. The conference opens on Friday evening at Oxford University Press on Great Clarendon Street and continues at the Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre, Worcester College, on Saturday (full day) and Sunday until lunchtime. It brings together researchers, practitioners and policymakers to share findings and discuss developments in the field.
