Leo Varadkar in conversation

Worcester College Provost Lord Isaac interviews former Taoiseach Leo Varadkar about his life and career, with drinks afterwards.

Leo Varadkar, who became Taoiseach in 2017 as Ireland's youngest-ever head of government, its first from an ethnic minority and its first openly gay leader, joins Worcester College for a public conversation. As Fine Gael leader he spent seven years at the top of government, negotiating the Brexit deal and steering referendums that legalised same-sex marriage and liberalised abortion laws; in 2025 he published the memoir Speaking My Mind. The event is part of Provost Lord Isaac's role models interview series, and all are welcome to stay for drinks afterwards. Entry is via the Worcester College Porters' Lodge on Walton Street.
