About
Ben Dark traces the evolution of plants, from their earliest land colonisers to the diversity of species alive today.
Drawing on sixteen plant families, the talk follows how plants colonised land, developed wood and seeds, and came to shape terrestrial ecosystems. Ben Dark connects botanical adaptation and deep-time natural history through examples ranging from mosses and orchids to other plant groups.
