Connected Conservation Cumbrian Regional Workshop
About
A regional workshop for environment-sector partners to baseline American mink and water vole activity across Cumbria and shape a National Lottery Heritage Fund bid.
This in-person workshop brings together people working in the environment sector across Cumbria — trusts, local authorities, agencies, catchment partnerships, water companies, businesses and land managers — to support a major National Lottery Heritage Fund application for American mink eradication and water vole recovery. Participants will collate information on existing mink trapping and pipeline work, agree key elements of the funding bid, and nominate representatives for regional and pan-Northern steering groups. The agenda includes a national context talk from Darren Tansley, a video presentation from Waterlife Recovery Trust, table-group working sessions and lunch. Refreshments and lunch are provided, with dietary requirements requested by Tuesday 3 November.
