Accredited Safer Recruitment

A full-day accredited safer recruitment training course in Leicester for safeguarding leads and staff responsible for recruiting people who work with children.

This full-day, in-person training at New Parks House is aimed at Designated Safeguarding Leads and anyone responsible for recruiting staff in agencies that work with children, including owners, managers and safeguarding leads. It covers the key features of safer recruitment that help deter or prevent the appointment of unsuitable people, in line with statutory guidance. Topics include the context of safeguarding, the prevalence of abuse and profiles of those who abuse, how abusers operate within organisations, planning a safer recruitment process, interview and selection decisions, and embedding an ongoing culture of vigilance. The session runs from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
