An in-person or online DSL training course for education safeguarding leads, covering statutory duties and updated Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.
Keep Governance and Safeguarding delivers this in-depth designated safeguarding lead training for education staff, going beyond a refresher to cover statutory duties under Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025. The trainers have all taught in UK schools and the content was developed with DSLs, with training recommended to be updated at least every two years. Participants can attend in person at the Hereford venue or join online, and staff are encouraged to train together to write safeguarding development plans. The session runs 6 hours 30 minutes.
