Star Lantern Making Workshop

An adult craft workshop with Kirsten making star-shaped lanterns from willow and tissue paper across two afternoon sessions.

Kirsten leads a two-hour workshop in the Education Room at An Lanntair in which participants build a star-shaped lantern from willow and tissue paper, suitable for lighting on winter evenings. The sessions are specifically for adults, with separate after-school Mini-make sessions available for children and families. Depending on the weather, participants may carry their lantern in a procession to Percival Square on Tuesday 24 November for the switching on of the Christmas lights, after which the lanterns will be displayed at An Lanntair over the Christmas period.
