Sunday Family Workshop: Animal Animation

A family workshop learning stop-frame animation basics using plasticene animals and a phone app.

Linked to the screening of 'Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom' in the cinema, this hour-long workshop teaches the basics of stop-frame animation. Participants use plasticene animals and the free 'Stop Motion Studio' app on their own mobile phone to set up small scenes and capture frames, producing a short clip that demonstrates stop-motion principles. Suitable for age 5+, with ideas to take home for further family animation projects.
