November Exhibition Preview: Angela Brown
About
A free preview evening for the Scottish Arts Club's November exhibition of works by artist Angela Brown, from her early pieces to recent Edinburgh cityscapes.
This preview event opens the exhibition 'From Neaera to the New Town: works by Angela Brown', the artist's most significant solo show to date. It traces her career from early work through a decade in Aberdeenshire and residencies in Exarchia, Athens, focusing on women in ancient and modern cities, to recent Edinburgh cityscapes. The show spans lino prints, scraperboard etching, oil, watercolour and acrylic painting, and photography using holographic filters. The preview runs for two hours with capacity for 35 members and 25 non-members.
